Ginny Shinn
Position: Outreach Director
Ginny was born in Michigan, but raised in Clearwater, FL. She was brought up Catholic, and was saved as a teen after being invited to a youth event. Although she was saved, her faith was not encouraged, so she continued to live as if she wasn’t. At an early age she had two sons, Sean and Christopher, and was a single parent for many years. After 15 years she reconnected with her high school sweetheart, Wendell. He had 4 children from his previous marriage. They married, and after 7 years they had a daughter together, Reba. For a while she struggled with drugs and alcohol. She has been homeless and has lived in poverty. Thank fully, God has delivered her completely from all of that.
She now uses her experience in the hospitality industry to help others that are in the same situations that she has been in. In July 2014, Ginny lost her husband to a two year battle with cancer. She and her family find comfort in knowing that he loved Jesus and that if he was still here, he would be right alongside her serving God and others
